There are pubs that call themselves traditional. Then there's Charley Farrelly's, where the word doesn't need saying. The bar, the shelves, the walls around you have stood here since 1798. This isn't restoration. This is the real thing.

The door has carried three names over the centuries. First Whitney's, then O'Keeffe's, now Farrelly's. Each family kept what mattered and left the rest alone. The result is one of the last original pubs left standing in Ireland. Failte Ireland lists it. TripAdvisor calls it a hidden treasure. Locals just call it Farrelly's.

Pull up a stool. The drink is good, the chat is better, and the music comes when it comes. You won't find a menu of small plates or a cocktail list. You will find a welcome that hasn't gone out of fashion in over two hundred years.
